Nine Months

Always smiling and giggling!

Jonah bites all of his "friends" as soon as he gets his hands on them.

Jonah has five teeth coming through right now and has more drool than we know what to do with.

He is literally climbing the walls these days...

His legs never stop. He kicks them in the air just as much as he kicks them on the ground.

He is not content to sit still for a second. It took three of us to get these pictures of Jonah.

Emma LOVED the opportunity to hold her brother. She was quite offended that he wanted to get away from her immediately.

Jonah is now nine months old. He went to the doctor today and is 19.6 pounds (25th percentile), 29 inches (75th percentile), and his head is 44.7 cm (50th percentile). His weight has leveled off right now as he has started crawling everywhere and is very busy all day long. We have given him lots of fruits and veggies to eat but nothing more than that. A few weeks ago Jonah had a serious reaction to one piece of cottage cheese, so today the doctor ran some bloodwork to begin the process of identifying a milk allergy. Thankfully I have my own personal milk allergy coach in Abby so I have an expert at my disposal! Along with that, the doctor identified that Jonah also suffers from seasonal allergies. Although it is very unlikely for children under the age of two to develop seasonal allergies, it makes sense since Mike has such severe spring allergies. Poor baby!

Developmentally Jonah continues to do well. He is crawling everywhere and is very fast. He gets into everything and his favorite items in the house right now include the toilet and the garbage can. He likes to sprint to the bathroom and pull himself up on the toilet and suck on the toilet seat. All of his efforts to pull himself up and stand are evident by the bruises across his forehead. The nurse at the hospital today said that she could tell he was all boy just looking at his forehead. Jonah is saying Mama and Dada with purpose and also can say hi and bye as he waves. He still likes to do so big and enjoys clapping his hands. Jonah loves music and his favorite toy is the drum set Emma has. He has no real interest in walking - which is fine with us!

We are enjoying him as he continues to be happy and joyful all the time!
