Getting to Know Emma

Emma insists upon joining Jonah for tummy time. She asks to do it several times a day and gets down and talks with him...then, she wants her picture taken.

Talking to Jonah - she calls him her little brother-sister (she hasn't quite understood that it is just brother since for nine months everyone referred to him as her baby brother or sister).

Every morning Emma calls for me and when I come in the first words out of her mouth are "where is Jonah". Then she asks for him to snuggle in her bed. They lay together for a few minutes and Emma talks to him until she gets bored and is ready to get some breakfast. It is so sweet that she thinks about him first thing in the morning.

Emma has been so excited to spend time with Jonah. We were not sure how she would respond to sharing Mommy and Daddy, but she could not love Jonah any more. She always wants him to be a part of what she is doing and makes sure he can come with us wherever we go. She is very concerned about him and watches over him all day. So far she has done really well not touching him unless she asks or one of us is right with her. She lugs her baby around all day doing whatever I am doing with Jonah. It has been so fun to see her attach so well to him and love him so much.
